An Emporium man was killed in a three-vehicle collision Saturday morning in Shippen Township, Cameron County, State police said the collision occurred on Route 120 when a Nissan Murano d riven by 55 year old Michael Smith crossed the center line while going easts near the Old West Creek Road and collided with a Ford F-150XLT on the shoulder driven by Christopher Hayes of Kersey then hit a Hyundai Sante Fe be fore rolling over in the center of the high way. Smith who was not wearing a seatbelt was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers and two passengers in Wendel’s SUV, his wife Patricia, and Erin Gavlock of Reno were all treated at Penn HIghlands Elk for minor injuries.

A Port Allegany driver was not hurt when his pick up ran into a house on South Main Street near Harrison Street in that town early Saturday morning. Brock Daniels, 24, was gong west when his Chevrolet Silverado went off the street and onto the sidewalk where it traveled for about 50 feet before colliding with a house. Daniels allegedly left the scene but was identified by the home owner.

Minor injuries were reported for an elderly Austin resident whose pick up truck landed on top of a fence along Foster Street last Thursday morning. Herman Beyer, 70, was taken by ambulance to UPMC Cole for treatment of minor injuries.

One driver  and and a passenger in another unit were hurt slightly in a collision Friday afternoon in Fox Township, Elk County. Ridgway based state police say the collision occurred when 77 year old Antonia Iddings of Brockway failed to stop  her Chevrolet Equinox at the intersection of Skyline Drive and Main Street and ran into a Mazda Tribute driven by James Kaveney of St.Marys. The impact caused his SUV to spin around and hit a Ford F-150 driven by Michael Cashmer of Kersey which was stopped at a stopsign on Irishtown Road. Iddings and Susan Kaveney were taken to Penn Highlands Elk. A passenger in the Iddings car, 18 year old Deja Iddings of Brockway and Cashmer and James Kaveney escaped injury.

Both drivers escaped injury when their vehicles hit the same deer on Route 15 in Tioga early Saturday morning. Troopers said the first driver stopped his Nissan Versa when he smelled smoke but determined it was caused by  the underside of the vehicle cooking the deer’s remains. A second vehicle ran over the deceased deer but police determined there was no damage and he continued on his way.

Injuries were reported for a Mansfield woman after a one-vehicle crash just before noon last Thursday.Sally Betts was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries.

Coudersport based state police have arrested 59 year old Leon Main with terroristic threats for an incident allegedly taking place last Tuesday afternoon in Hector Township. Main is accused of remaining at a house on Little Phoenix Road, threatening 58 year old Anna Main and setting a fire on the premises.

Troopers at the Mansfield barracks have charged 23 year old Brandon Powell of Morris with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, hit and run of an attended vehicle and related traffic violations. Powell allegedly followed a 52 year old Lawrenceville woman in her 2018 Subaru Cross Trek on Route 287 in a close and reckless manner and then reportedly rear-ended the victim’s car two times shoving it off the road the second time. The Subaru traveled over a rototiller, light post and lawn tractor owned by a 73 year old Lawrenceville man and hit the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Spark owned by a 56 year old Lawrenceville man. Powell then allegedly drove over the curb at the intersectrion of Route 287 ad Junction Cross Road, hit a stop sign and parked his Dodge Durango before fleeing the scene. He was later located and committed to the Tioga County Prison.

Mansfield state police have also charged 32 year old Manuel Colon of Covington for harassment with physical contact claiming he pushed 75 year old George Brooks in the chest area during an argument on October 25 at 164 E. Hill Road.

Colby Pierce, 34 of Westfield has been charged with physical assault after he allegedly damaged a GMC Youkon belonging to a 35 year old Westfield woman on the evening of  October 9 on Route 49. The Suv’s left side mirror and sun visor were damaged to the tuen of $70.

State police at Lewis Run are continuing to investigate a cruelty to animals occurring at 159 Oil Valley Road in Bradord on the night of October 20. Cops said when they responded to an inactive domestic violence incident, they found the family dog was being abused.

Several motorists have been charged for DUI. Ryan Austin, 36 of Smethport was arrested when troopers stopped his 201 Jeep on the West Eldred Road early Saturday morning. Alan Freich. 52 of St. Marys was arrested during the early morning October 12 on the Rosely Road in St. Marys. Troopers claim 27 year old James Eckert of Kersey was driving under the influence of drugs when they pulled him over on Fairview Road in Fox Township just before midnight September 26.

Five people were picked up for an underage drinking party early Saturday morning at the Russell City Sportsman Club rifle range. Shawn Schreiber, 20 of St. Marys, Dakota Menteer, 20 of James City, 20 year old Monika Fisher of Mt. Jewett, 19 year old Makenzy Schreckengost of Kaane and a 17 year old Kane boy were all cited for underage consumption.

Brian Farnsworth, 37 of Osceola was  arrested for drug possession last Thursday night when troopers confiscated two large bags of pot and multiple raw marijuana plants.

Troopers at Lewis Run investigated two natural deaths over the weekend. An 85 year old man from  died on his way to a Medivac landing zone early Saturday morning after falling down some stairs on the Jane Ware Road. A 51 year old Keating Township man was found deceased on the Irish Hollow Road in Keating Township Sunday morning.
