A Collegeville PA woman is accused of assaulting two state troopers in Sweden Valley on September 27. State police claim  48 year old Maureen Rykowski-McCathy attacked troopers Michael Brown and Garret Marvich during an altercation a few minutes after 11:00 pm on East Second Street at Faith Street. Sjhe was released on bail following arraignment and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

State police at Mansfield are continuing to look for the person who tried to pass a counterfeit bill at the Tioga, PA Acorn Market on August 21. The suspect tried to pay for merchandise with a fake $100 bill at around 3:00 am  but the cashier recognized that the bill was phony and the suspect left in a tan four door car.

Slight injuries were reported for a Genesee woman whose car hit a cow  in Ulysses Township Monday night. Police said Sheila Monroe was going east on Route 49 near the Rapley Road at the time. She declined treatment, Troopers did not report on the cow’s fate.

No injuries were reported for a Blossburg woman after a car/deer collision on Route 14 in Union Township, Tioga County. According to Mansfield based state police Megan Wing applied the brakes on her VW Atlas in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid hitting the whitetail.

A Canadian tractor-trailer operator received minor injuries in a mishap occurring Tuesday morning in Liberty Township, Tioga County. Drake Maracle, 28,of Fort Erie Ontario was turning from Route 414 onto the north bound ramp of  Route 15 when his trailer rolled to the right side and came to rest on the berm.  He was cited for speeding.
