McKean County District Attorney, Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, reports that, on September 28, 2019, Detectives with the McKean County Drug Task Force arrested three people within the City of Bradford following a delivery of Methamphetamine.  Detectives with the Drug Task Force, acting on a tip, began an investigation into illegal trafficking of Methamphetamine and set up surveillance within the City.  Their investigation resulted in the arrest of JORDAN JOHNSON, WILLIAM DORAN, and CHRISTY CUTLIP all from Bradford. The complaints filed against the three allege that CUTLIP arranged for the sale of Methamphetamine by text message and conspired with JOHNSON and DORAN to deliver approximately .9 grams of Methamphetamine for $40.  Detectives allege that JOHNSON delivered .9 grams of Methamphetamine to another party and received $40 that he, then, handed to DORAN.

Detectives and Officers with the City of Bradford Police were in nearby surveillance and proceeded to take JOHNSON and DORAN into custody.  The complaint alleges JOHNSON was found with an additional bag of suspected methamphetamine with a weight of between 20 and  30 grams.

Detectives charged CUTLIP with Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (Felony 3) and Conspiracy Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Felony).

Detectives charged JOHNSON with Delivery of a Controlled Substance (approx. .9 grams of methamphetamine) (Felony); Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (between 20 and 30 grams of methamphetamine) (Felony); 2 counts Conspiracy Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver (co-conspirators CUTLIP and DORAN) (Felonies); Criminal Use of a Communication Device (Felony 3); Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor); and Possession of Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor).

Detectives charged DORAN with Conspiracy Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony) and Conspiracy Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor).

All three were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Dominic Cercone who set bail for JOHNSON and DORAN to $50,000 cash and no bail on CUTLIP.  All three were remanded to the McKean County Jail

These arrests were the result of a tip into the distribution of Methamphetamine.  Methamphetamine is a dangerous drug- dangerous not only to the user but to those close to the manufacturing location as it is highly explosive and unstable during the manufacturing process.  Anyone who suspects illegal drug activity is encouraged to contact the McKean County Drug Task Force at the District Attorney’s Office by calling (814)887-3312 or email: MCDTFtip@gmail.com.
