A 39 year old Sabinsville man has been arrested for harassment and simple assault after allegedly attacking  his 15 year son during an argument last Thursday afternoon at their home on Phoenix Road. The youth told police the argument became physical when his father grabbed him by the neck causing injury. The suspect, whose name was not released, left the scene but was later located by Galeton Police Chief Brackman who detained him until state police arrived.

Coudersport based state police are investigating a theft on Pigeon Hill Road in West Branch Township between August 16 and this past Thursday. Thieves made off with about 2000 feet of PVC Conduit belonging to Gas Field Associates of Shinglehouse. The pipe is valued at $4147.00.

A Genesee woman is the latest ID theft victim. State police at Coudersport say Maria Martin was reviewing an ad for an ATV on Facebook at 11:00 am this past Saturday. When she opened the ad, an automatic withdrawal was made from her account without her consent. The investigation is continuing.

Troopers in Emporium are investigating the theft of an electrical fence box from 359 Old West Creek Road in Shippen Township between 3:00 pm Friday and 7:00 am Saturday. The box belonged to Emporium resident David Smith and is valued at $250.00 A dark gray Chevrolet or GMC pick up driven by a tall man with a beard was seen in the area.

Two McKean County residents have been arrested for defiant trespassing. Edward Crandall, 26 of Mt. Jewett and Nathan Spresterd 37 of Kane were charged after troopers responded to a call from a 60 yearold Kane woman who told them that the “Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trails” had been damaged by ATVs. The suspects were allegedly identified through the use of trail cameras which also showed that active railroad grades were being used for ATV trails even though the grades had been properly posted notifying ATV operators that they were “off limits.”

Vandalism to a car in Keating Township, McKean County is being investigated by state police at Lewis Run. Culprits slashed two tires on a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox owned by a 51 year old East Smethport woman Sunday morning while it was parked on Allan Street. The tires are valued at $400.00.

Two weather related crashes in Tioga County were investigated last Thursday morning by state police at Mansfield. Troopers have cited 57 year old Belinda Root of Elkland for speeding after her Chevrolet Impala slid off of Route 49 during a sudden downpour at around 12:30 am and hit a ditch. Grant Weber of Grantville, PA was also arrested for speeding after his Ford Taurus hydroplaned across  Route 15 in Richmond Tonwship and hit some guide wires. Both drivers escaped injury.

No injuries were reported for a Corning, NY man following a one-vehicle crash Friday morning in Delmar Township,Tioga County Garrett Aiken was going east on Route 660 when he overcorrected while making a left hand curve. His Pontiac G6 slide to the other side and hit an embankment before rolling over onto its side, travel across the road again coming to rest in the eastbound lane.
