Coudersport man arrested for pushing female victim…Ligonier woman hurt in Cameron  County motorcycle accident….Galeton resident arrested on numerous drug charges…Neither driver was hurt when their vehicles hit the same elk within moments of each other…

Coudersport based state police have arrested 42 year old Richard Bliss for harassment with physical contact. Troopers allege Bliss pushed a 41 year old woman during an argument on  North Main Street in the borough at about 6:00 am July 15.

Both drivers escaped injury in a collision Saturday afternoon in Stewardson Township. According to Coudersport based state police the collision happened when Adam Evancho of Lock Haven was traveling east on Forest Road when he over compensated on a left hand curve and allowed his Subaru Forester to enter the middle of the road and hit a Ford Expedition driven by Stacy Duffield of Jersey Shore, PA.

 A Ligonier  motorcyclist was life flighted to Altoona Hospital following a accident early Saturday morning in Grove Township, Cameron County. According to state police, 58 year old Mellony Harr was going east when a deer ran in front of her Harley Davidson Street Glide causing Harr to be thrown into a drainage ditch. The bike continued on for a time before crossing to the other side and laying down in a grassy field.

Troopers at Coudersport have charged 36 year old Jan Widnikiewicz with drug possession after stopping his car in Pike Township on the evening of July 12.Police claim the 2005 Ford Focus was not registered, was not inspected  and had a license plate from another vehicle. A search of the car allegedly turned up suspected crystal methamphetamine, a scale, multiple glass pies, and hundreds of drug bags.

An Austin resident has been arrested for  DUI after  patrol officers stopped his ATV on Cemetery Lane in Sylvania Township early June 22. Police claim 26 year old Gavin Dynda failed a field sobriety test and was taken to UPMC Cole for additional testing which ultimately showed a BAC of.135%, .10% is the legal limit in Pennsylvania.

DUI charges have also been filed against 26 year old Jonathon Jones of Coudersport after he was stopped on Avenue A at Metzger Street in Coudersport at around 1:30 am June 28 for an alleged traffic violation.

Both drivers escaped injury when their vehicles  hit the same elk in Jay Township  Elk County Saturday night. State police explained Stephen Tingle was going south on Route 255 when hihs Dodge Durango hit the animal when it ran in front of him from the west berm. The elk fell into the northbound lane where it was hit by a Lexus1s300 driven by Joshua Craig of St. Marys. The elk landed in a nearby ditch The Durango stopped in a parking lot and the Lexus  stopped along the east berm.

The theft of an iPhone 6 owned by a 12 year old Emporium girl last Friday evening remains under investigation by state police at Emporium. The phone was reportedly taken from South Maple Street in Emporium.

A criminal mischief in Lumber Township, Cameron County over the past month has been investigated by state police in Emporium Someone drove a logging turk several times on land along Coal Hollow Lane and Barr Hollow Road.
