Several people seriously  hurt in collision between SUV and tractor trailer in Elk County…..both drivers escaped injury last night in Corydon Township collision …Emporium woman  arrested for defiant trespassing…Doe licenses for PA residents now on sale….

Several people were hurt in a collision just before noon yesterday in Elk County.  According to state police in Ridgway, the collision occurred when Si Won, no address given, after stopping at a stop sign,  pulled his Honda Odyssey  from Route 219 to Route 321 without yielding and was hit by a tractor trailer operated by Jeffrey McConnell of Big Run PA. Won and three passengers were flown by helicopter to  UPMC Hamot  in Erie in serious condition. A fourth passenger suffered only minor injuries and did not require medical attention. McConnell was not hurt.

Both drivers escaped injury in a collision Monday night in Corydon Township, McKean County. State police at Lewis Run report that collision occurred when Cecila LaRoche of Bradford was turning her Chevrolet Canyon from W. Washington Street onto Stickney Drive and failed to see a Toyota Tundra driven by James Thompson of Smethort which was approaching from the east on W. Washington Street and d rove in front of Thompson’s vehicle. Two passengers in Thompson’s unit, his wife Joan and Nicholas Weber of North Tonawanda NY also were not hurt.

Minor injuries were reported for a Millersville, PA driver after his Mazda 3 hit a deer on Route 549 in Rutland Township, Tioga County Monday afternoon. Troopers said Benjamin Miller did not require medical attention at a hospital.

State police at Empoerium have arrested 32 year old Amber Osgood of that town for defiant trespass. Authorities explained Osgood entered a house at 644 Old West Creek Road Monday afternoon, knowing she was not allowed inside the house owned by Sharon Schiller and despite a verbal warning from Schiller’s daughter Emilie Frey.

Allen Marshall, 36 of Emporium has been arrested for harassment with physical contact for a scuffle taking place late Sunday night on W. 4th Street in that town.  State police say they are continuing to investigate the fight between Marshall and a 26 year old Emporium man whose name was not released.
