A Sabinsville man has been jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail after being arraigned for terroristic threats and reckless endangerment .State police at Coudersport allege 45 year old George Grant of Sabinsville threaten d 63 year old Raymond Sprouse of Galeton with a gun and fired a shot into the ground next to the victim during an incident at 2737 Phoenix Run Road in Hector Township Tuesday evening. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Annette Easton.

Troopers at the Kane barracks did not release the names of two suspects in an animal cruelty case but promise more details will be released and charges are pending. A 76 year old Smethport man and a 454 year old Eldred man are suspected of committing the crime on a deer farm  located at 5689 Route 46 in Keating Township. Police say local veterinarians and the  PA Department of Agriculture are assisting in the investigation.

Several theft-related charges have been filed against 31 year old James Miller of Wellsville by state police at the Coudersport barracks. Officers claim Miller found out where the victims, 38 year old Roy Thompson and 31 year old Tonya Cook both of Westfield and 36 year old John Golish of Wellsville would be . Police explained a large payment was to be made that day by one of the victims to Miller but when he found out the person did not have the money in possession, he drove to the Genesee Park where the truck containing the money was parked. He parked his own vehicle at the Acorn Market and went into the park where he allegedly forcibly entered the truck holding the money through a sliding rear window and took a bag containing $1080 in cash and wallets owned by the three victims. Miller was later identified as the suspect and was arrested for criminal conspirarcy, theft, receiving stolen property, theft from a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.

The apparent theft of a computer was investigated by Kane Based state police Tuesday. A 58 year old Eldred resident told authorities he had sold a Microsoft comp0uter on the app “Letgo” and shipped it to Miami , FL before being paid. The computer is gone and he hasn’t received his $950.

 

A one-vehicle accident sent a Genesee teen driver to UPMC for treatment of minor injuries Wednesday afternoon. According to state police at Coudersport. 18year old Diamond Button was going north on the North Hollow Road in Allegany Township when her Chevy Cruze went off the road on a left hand curve and struck a traffic sign before becoming disabled in a ditch.

Troopers at Mansfield are looking for the operator of a tractor trailer that pulled down a wire at the Pump and Pantry in  Lawrenceville at about 8:15 last night. The driver got out of the cab and went to a car dealership where he took a picture of a car parked there. When he drove off, the rig caught the wire to the convenience store’s service entrance pulling it down but continued on without stopping. The drive was described as being a short black male with a leg problem when he walked. The was operating a red Volvo pulling a gray flatbed style trailer with a sandbox on it.
