A Tioga County man has been arrested on drug charges and child endangerment. Mansfield based state police allege 29 year old Matthew Seely was found in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia during the early morning of November 30 at a home on Route 287. Authorities claim there were three children in the home at the time. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 28 before District Judge James Edgcomb.
Coudersport based state police report a harassment charge may be filed against a known suspect for an alleged threat last Friday morning on the West Branch Road in Galeton. Kayla Rachiele told troopers the suspect, whose name was not released, threatened to shoot her dog if it did not stop barking at 10:30am
A criminal trespass on Route 44 in Shinglehouse remains under investigation by state police at Coudersport. Vandals drove onto property owned by Jeffrey West Thanksgiving afternoon and dumped waste onto the land before leaving northbound on Route 44. Anyone with information about the litter bug is asked to call state police at 814.274.8690.
Unknown vandals damaged a mailbox on Troupe Road in Eulalia Township between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm this past Sunday. The mailbox is owned by Wendee Ann Brown of Coudersport.
DUI charges are pending against a Coudersport man. State police assert when they stopped Kenneth Rogers, Jr. on Route 44 at the intersection with the Tennessee Road in Hebron Township on the night of November 17, they found he was driving under the influence.
Both drivers escaped injury in a collision Sunday afternoon in Delmar Township, Tioga County. According to Mansfield based state police the collision occurred when Gerald Peffer of Wellsboro who was going south on Route 6 tried to make left hand turn in front of a southbound Ford Fusion driven by Zachery Smith-Davis of Blossburg. Both the passenger car and the Smith-Davis 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 had to be towed from the scene. Both men were using seatbelts.
